
Inger
is Deputy Director General of the Swedish National Board of Youth
Affairs and Director of Youth Policy. She is an expert to the
Delegation for Human Rights and a member of the advisory board to the
Swedish Academy for the Rights of the Child. Inger is a member of the
Swedish Inheritance Fund Commission. She is on the board for the
Swedish Enforcement Authority and a member of the Monitoring Committee
for The European Social Fund. Inger has been involved in Save the
Children Sweden since 1992 and Chair of Save the Children Sweden since
June 2008.
Nina
has been a partner at McKinsey & Co for 10 years. Over the course
of her career, she has served national and global clients in the
private, public and social arenas. She has extensive experience in
strategy and organisation and her work has taken her across the world,
from the UK, to the US, Asia and Africa. In the last 5 years she has
focused on the healthcare and government arenas, and led McKinsey's
public sector practice in the UK. Nina was born of Indian origin in
Tanzania and lives in London with her husband and their two daughters.
Bill
is President of OSTAR Enterprises, which has produced awardwinning
plays and films such as Monty Python's Spamalot, History Boys,
Journey's End and the Woman in White. His company has won seven Tony
awards. Prior to OSTAR, he co-founded Creative Artists Agency, the Los
Angeles-based literary and talent agency. He was responsible for
managing the agency's leading presence in the television industry and
their innovative corporate advisory services. He is a member of the
Governing Board of the League of American Theatres and Producers. He
holds degrees in English, History and Political Science from UCLA and
was a member of the first class of Loyola Law School of Los Angeles.
Bill joined the Board of Trustees of Save the Children US in 1995.
Mimi
Jakobsen has served as CEO of Save the Children Denmark since 2000.
Prior to Save the Children Mimi held a number of senior roles in the
Danish parliament, including Minister of Cultural Affairs, Minister for
Social Affairs, Minister of Industry, Minister of Trade and deputy
Prime Minister. She has gained considerable international experience by
becoming a member of Ministers Councils in the European Union. Mimi
Jakobsen is known throughout Denmark both for her longstanding
political career and for speaking out on behalf of vulnerable children.
Ms Khan has recently been appointed as a UK Charity Commissioner. Irene
was secretary general of Amnesty International from 2001 – 2009. Prior
to joining Amnesty International, she worked for the United Nations
High Commissioner for Refugees for 21 years. Irene is an international
human rights expert, with a particular interest in the empowerment of
women and in economic and social rights.
Borger
has held a number of senior positions in Norwegian banking and finance
including as CEO of Eksportfinans and Kreditkassen. He has served as a
civil servant, first as CEO of NORAD (the instrument for bilateral
Norwegian aid), and later as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of
Development Assistance. He has served as Board member of several major
Norwegian companies including Norsk Hydro, KLP, Eidsiva and Aschehoug.
Borger has been a Board member of Redd Barna (Save the Children Norway)
since 1985 and Board Chair since 2005. Borger is married with two
children and five grandchildren.
Mark
is now Chief Advisor to the World Economic Forum having left his role
as Minister of State with the UK Government at the Foreign and
Commonwealth Office (FCO) in July 2009. Prior to this, Mark worked for
the United Nations: he became United Nations Deputy Secretary General
in 2006. For six years before that he was Administrator of UN
Development Programme. His previous positions include a Vice-President
at the World Bank and an international partner for a political
consulting firm. He began his career as a journalist writing about
politics and development. He is a member of the House of Lords and was
knighted in 2007.
Brad
Palmer is the Founder and Managing Partner of Palm Ventures, an
entrepreneurial investment firm through which he invests his own
capital in businesses that have a positive, transformative impact on
society. His current investment focus includes education, health care,
financial services, human resources and renewable energy. Prior to Palm
Ventures, he worked with Jim Wolfensohn and Paul Volcker at their
strategic advisory and investment banking firm. He currently serves on
the Boards of numerous private companies and non-profit organizations
including Education Development Center and Save the Children US where
he has served on the Board for 14 years.
Alan
is the founder and Chairman of Brunswick LLP, the international
corporate and financial communications firm which he started in 1987.
Alan is Governor of the School of Oriental and African Studies,
Vice-Chairman of Business Commitment to the Environment, Chairman of
the Good Work Commission and was founder and Vice-Chairman of China
Now, a nationwide festival in the UK in 2008 celebrating Chinese arts
and culture designed to strengthen relationships between the UK and
China. He is Chair of the Board of Trustees for Save the Children UK.
Alan lives in London and is married to Jane.
Charles is a former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of two Fortune
500 companies: Avon Products, Inc. and Duracell International, Inc. He
has over 30 years experience growing businesses, domestically and
internationally. Charles is an experienced Board leader, having led
numerous public and non-profit boards. Currently, he serves as a Board
Chair of Warnaco, and on the Board of Campbell Soup Company and Eastern
Mountain Sports. He is also a committed philanthropist who is very
involved with many local charities, as well as co-founding The Perrin
Family Foundation in 1994 which focuses solely on the needs of
disadvantaged children. He joined the Board of Trustees of Save the
Children US in 2007.

Harpal
Singh has long and wide ranging experience in the corporate and social
sectors and has held leadership positions in the automobile, consumer
products and healthcare sectors. He was non executive Chairman of
India's largest pharmaceutical company, Ranbaxy and is currently the
mentor and Chairman Emeritus of Fortis Healthcare. Whilst chairing the
Impact Group, he sits on the Board of the Escorts Heart Institute and
Religare Enterprises. He sits on some of India's most renowned school
and university Boards and is a member of the National Round Table on
School Education. He is also a member of India-UK Round Table, India-US
Strategic Dialogue and of the Public Health Foundation of India. He is
Founder Chairman Trustee of Nanhi Chhaan and Chronic Care Foundations.
He is currently the Chairman of the Save the Children India Board.
Helene
began her career with the international financial advisory firm now
known as KPMG. She was corporate chief financial officer with TNT Ltd.
Australia/TNT Skypack and Champion Energy Corporation. Following her
corporate career she served as CFO for Save the Children US for nearly
ten years. Helene is a member of the Board of Trustees of Adelphi
University, a Director of St. Lukes School and is on the advisory board
of a number of other non profits. Helene was elected to the Board of
Trustees of Save the Children US in 2000 and re elected in 2008.
Claudio Tesauro has been a member of the Board of Directors of Save the Children Italy since 2004 and he is currently the President.
Executive partner of the Rome office of Bonelli Erede Pappalardo, one of Italy's leading law firms, he is also President of the Italian Antitrust Association and the Head of the
Antitrust Department, which has lawyers based in Brussels, Rome, Milan and London.
Graduated cum laude in 1987 from the Faculty of Law of the University of Naples, Italy and completed a Masters in Comparative Jurisprudence at the New York University School of Law and then joined the New York law firm Fox & Horan.
Claudio Tesauro's antitrust experience began in 1989 as a trainee at the Legal Service of the European Commission. In 1992 he entered private practice, as one of the founders of the firm Tizzano-Pappalardo and later as the youngest partner of Pappalardo e Associati, specializing in EC competition law.
Claudio Tesauro has acted in several high profile cases and regularly appears before the Italian antitrust authority, the European Commission and national courts. Claudio also handles merger cases and investigations under the Italian and EU merger rules.
