We cannot build a better world for children without your help. Your support enables us to secure real and lasting change for millions of children around the world.
One of our most significant and longest-standing corporate partners is IKEA - the world’s largest home decoration and furniture company and one strongly committed to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Our collaboration has blossomed into a groundbreaking global partnership since it began in 1993. IKEA has shown a long-term and dedicated commitment to children and a willingness to work both locally and globally.
They support our programmes primarily through the Annual Soft Toy Campaign, where Save the Children receives a euro for every toy sold before Christmas.
In 2008, this ‘one euro is a fortune’ campaign amounted to €5.3 million globally, benefiting 40 programmes in 20 countries. As our partnership develops, the cooperation is extending into other fields – such as support in emergency situations and working with the IKEA Social Initiative so that together we can find and implement innovative sustainable solutions to problems affecting children around the world.
