More than 15 million children marked December 1st - World AIDS Day - this year without one or both of their parents. Every day 5,000 more are newly infected with HIV, and 2 million children under the age of 15 are living with the disease.

Save the Children is fighting HIV/AIDS and protecting children on two fronts. We work with local partners to prevent infection by educating children and families and find relevant ways of engaging children and young people. In addition Save the Children helps communities and families care for and support children affected by HIV/AIDS.
