Myanmar 6 Months On: Family Tracing and Reunification

Cyclone Nargis struck Myanmar on the 2 - 3 May 2008. The scale of human loss and suffering was vast.

2.4 million people were severely affected and nearly 140,000 died or are still missing, among which an estimated 55% were children.

Nargis was the worst natural disaster in the history of Myanmar. The affected area is remote, heavily populated and difficult to access.
