Walls, roofs and blackboards were torn apart by the earthquake that hit Haiti on 12 January 2010. 90% of the schools in Port-au-Prince have been partially damaged or destroyed.
Patrick and Jean-Marie, both 11 years old, stand by the desks of the National School of Cuba. Those are the only things that are still intact in the place where they used to attend classes everyday.
Children like Patrick and Jean-Marie want to go back to school.
Together with the Ministry of Education and additional partners, Save the Children will establish learning spaces with the potential to reach as many as 500,000 school-age children.
