Mike Penrose reoprts from Padang, Indonesia

Save the Children has deployed hundreds of staff  to respond to the wave of disasters that have swept the Southeast Asia region this week, including three severe earthquakes, two powerful typhoons and a deadly tsunami.

Following two devastating earthquakes in Indonesia, Save the Children is rushing critically needed supplies to thousands of children and families in the hardest hit Pariaman area.  There is an urgent need for clean water, for drinking and cooking, as well as shelter and hygiene supplies for those left injured and living in shelters this week.

Mike Penrose is the emergency lead in our response to the earthquakes. Here he talks about the situation on the ground.
