Save the Children together with a leading UK media channel embarked on an ambitious and exciting project to capture children’s voices from Haiti.
Stuart Bamforth, Save the Children’s Video Producer, ran 9 days of film workshops, training a group of six children in video production.
At the end of the workshops the children each produced their own unique film about their experiences and life in the aftermath of the earthquake on 12 January.
Nenel was playing football with his mates. That's when the earthquake struck. That day he lost two sisters, and his little brother Martini, who were all trapped under the rubble of their family house. Nenel now lives in a tent with his uncles and 13 other people. Nenel worked with a group of children in Leogane - the epicentre of the earthquake - to make this film. It represents the first time he has been able to speak about the experience.
