Krishna Raju the Master of the Lodge of Fiji said the Lodge was pleased to be able to donate $10,000 to Save the Children Fiji to support 100 under-privileged families, specifically for those who had children with special needs, during this time of national crisis brought on by the Covid 19 Pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the Lodge was\ngrateful to be able to work with Save the Children Fiji who would manage the\ndistribution of 100 food packs to families who desperately needed assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Raju said the food\npacks would also include a Teddy bear that we hope will brighten children\u2019s day\nand bring some joy to them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Raju said the Lodge of\nFiji had a long history of donating to Charity since it was established in\n1882. Recent projects to assist various\nsectors of the community which demonstrates the good work the Lodge Charity\ndoes included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ross McDonald the\ntreasurer of the Lodge of Fiji said that assisting those in need was part of a\nFreemason\u2019s commitment to the broader community, and this donation through Save\nthe Children was targeted to assist those families with children who have\nspecial needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shairana Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Save the\nChildren Fiji thanked the Lodge of Fiji patrons for their support and timely\nassistance that will benefit 100 families. She also highlighted the need for\nother good Samaritans to join hands to help families during the difficult time\nthe country is facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
