Senior Project Officer(Livelihood)

Reporting to the Project Manager (Livelihood), the Senior Project Officer is responsible for the implementation of SC Fiji’s five-year Livelihood project. This position is responsible for the implementation of activities of SC Fiji’s grant in partnership with Save the Children New Zealand –“Resilience through Knowledge and Action in Agriculture and Food Security” (KANA) project. This position in partnership with communities and government will increase the resilience of communities and improve the outcomes for children affected by Cyclone Winston in Ra and Koro through agriculture and food security. The position will ensure increased income and food security to improve children’s health, education and nutritional outcomes in Koro and Ra. The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for delivering the outcomes of the project working closely with the communities and the project officers in the target areas.

Project Officer (Livelihood)

This position is responsible for the implementation of activities of SC Fiji’s grant in partnership with Save the Children New Zealand – “Resilience through Knowledge and Action in Agriculture and Food Security” (KANA) project. This position in partnership with communities and government will increase the resilience of communities and improve the outcomes for children affected by Cyclone Winston in Ra and Koro through agriculture and food security. The position will work closely with communities for increased income and food security to improve children’s health, education and nutritional outcomes in Koro and Ra. The Project Officer will be responsible for delivering the outcomes of the project working closely with the communities and schools in the target areas.

MEAL Officer (Livelihood)

Reporting to the Project Manager (Livelihood), the MEAL Officer is responsible for undertaking monitoring, evaluation and knowledge management activities of SC Fiji’s five-year Livelihood project in partnership with Save the Children New Zealand – “Resilience through Knowledge and Action in Agriculture and Food Security” (KANA) project. The incumbent will monitor and advise on improvement of the quality of the KANA project. He/she will be responsible for developing a MEAL framework and for monitoring particularly the progress on outcome indicators but also on activities. The incumbent will serve as a focal point for external evaluations and liaise with the project team members to prepare and support any required assessments, surveys and other data collection. The incumbent will ensure these are carried out to a high quality standard and the data used to inform programme development and improvement and feed into organizational accountability, learning and external communications. The incumbent will be responsible for undertaking communications work such as advocacy and awareness in close liaison with the Communications Manager.

Finance Officer (Livelihood)

The Finance Officer (KANA) is responsible for delivering an effective financial and administrative service in supporting the Finance Manager and Project Manager (KANA) to maintain high quality delivery and mitigate risk under New Zealand’s Direct Aid Programme grant in partnership with Save the Children New Zealand – “Resilience through Knowledge and Action in Agriculture and Food Security (KANA) in Fiji”.
In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the day to day financial functions for KANA Project. The Finance Officer’s responsibilities will also include accounting and record all financial transactions into the finance system, preparing payments (cash and cheques), meet all financial deadlines as set by Finance Manager, keep financial documents as per the required standards of SC Fiji. Reporting directly to Finance Manager, the FO will provide strong support to both the KANA and the SC Fiji Team, especially with the capacity building of staff to ensure a strong understanding of the financial policies and procedures of the organisation.
